Kelley and Bill have been married for 12 years and after many years of trying to have a child our dream of becoming a family began to come true when we adopted Will in 1998. Will's arrival has enriched our lives in ways we never expected. Kelley is an only child who longed for brothers and sisters so we have always hoped to have more than one child in our family.

We have lots of room in our home and hearts for another child.
    Our neighborhood in Orange County, California has a lot of parks, playgrounds, hiking trails, pools and a lake. It has an old-fashioned feel, with all the neighborhood kids playing out on the street, rollerblading, riding bikes, skateboarding and playing basketball, while the parents visit. We enjoy hosting neighborhood get-togethers such as an annual pumpkin carving party.

Bill grew up in southern California near the beach and Kelley grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Between us, we have fond memories of boogie boarding, beach bonfires, marshmallow roasting, camping, swimming and water skiing in mountain lakes, hiking and snow skiing. Now we live just minutes from the beach and a few hours from local mountains. We are fortunate to have family homes in both places, which make it easy for us to share all of those magical experiences with our children.

We also enjoy bike riding, reading, traveling and following our favorite college and professional sports teams. We actually met sitting next to each other at a San Francisco Giants baseball game! It was humor that stood out in that first conversation at the ballpark and humor is a big part of our relationship. The ability to laugh at situations and ourselves has sustained us through many difficult times over the years.

Bill owns his own property management and land development company. He enjoys his work. Bill and Will like to go on "adventures" together, play trucks and tell stories. Bill is excited about coaching future sports activities
Kelley loves being a stay-at-home mom. Will keeps Kelley busy with lots of activities. She likes to read, bake, scrapbook and share with Will her love of books she enjoyed as a child. She is energetic and fun-loving, loves skiing and rollerblading, and is a great coordinator of activities. She formerly worked for Disney before becoming a mom, demonstrating her love of fun!

Will is a bundle of energy who really likes to play with friends, go to parks, ride ponies, read books and play with our dog, Buckeye. He is very excited about going to kindergarten next fall, "like the big boys!" Will's open adoption has been such an incredible blessing in our lives. The gratitude and admiration we have for Will's birth family really knows no bounds. We all feel that God brought us together to love Will.

Our faith is the foundation of our family. We were both raised in Christian families. We hope to instill a love of God in our children in order to provide the love, comfort and guidance that we have found through faith.
