Julie and Andy Monetti Dear Birthmother Adoption Letter

Hello!

We are Julie and Andy Monetti.

We are very excited and thankful that you are reading our letter. We truly admire the courage and strength it must take to consider open adoption for your child.

We are looking forward to raising a child with the honesty, trust, and love that an open adoption provides and we want you to know that your well-being will be our utmost concern during this time. We believe the journey we are about to begin is something we will both cherish for the rest of our lives.

About Julie & Andy

We met four years ago through mutual friends and knew right from the start we made a perfect match. We married one year later. We have a very honest, open and loving relationship and we would feel very complete sharing this love with a child.

From the time we met we talked about the family we always wanted. We both wanted to have one child and adopt another but we found we were unable to have a child. Adoption is a perfect answer to our prayers. We are both friendly and outgoing and love the outdoors.

We take as many wonderful and adventurous vacations as we can. We live in beautiful, Southern California where we spend our sunny weekends at the beach wading through tide pools, hiking in the hills above our house or just barbecuing in our own back yard.

We love to ski in our nearby mountains in the winter. We dream of our own cabin in the woods someday where we can all play in the snow and spend Christmas with our whole family.

Please feel free to call us toll-free with any of your questions at 1-888-336-4200 or call our counselor at the Independent Adoption Center at 1-877-OPEN (6736). You can also email us using our easy email form, or via rcakes747@msn.com.
We would love to hear from you!

About Andy

Andy is the most generous, loving person I know. He is so positive and has a wonderful way of making me smile. He has the most amazing amount of energy. He loves to get down on the floor with our nephew and play trains or trucks. Children are always drawn to him.

Andy loves the outdoors and his favorite thing to do is hike up the hills near our home. He dreams of the day when he can take our child with him on daily hikes. Andy has a successful position in the Aviation Industry. He has a lot of opportunity to travel to many interesting places but his favorite place is home. He is deeply committed to our marriage and I know that his family will always be the most important thing in his life.

About Julie

Julie is a very warm and nurturing person. She loves animals, planting flowers in our yard, decorating our home, and spending time with her family and friends. One of Julie’s greatest joys is watching things grow. Even though she has many nieces and nephews, she has always wanted to have a family of her own to guide and care for.

Her witty sense of humor sees us through the challenging times and our house is often filled with laughter. Julie is a Flight Attendant for a major airline and looks forward to taking advantage of her free travel privileges so that we can discover new and exciting places with our child. She is so excited to teach our child how to ski and can’t wait to ski together down the bunny slopes! How lucky our child will be to have her as his or her mother.

Our Home

We live in a lovely, sun-filled home overlooking the ocean in San Pedro, California. San Pedro is a quiet harbor city about 20 miles from Los Angeles, 2 hours to the mountains and just 5 minutes to the ocean.

We share our home with our two cats, Kahlua and Cookie. Our neighborhood is peaceful and safe with a wonderful park filled with swings, slides, and sandboxes just waiting for our child. We also have beautiful wild peacocks that freely roam in the streets! We can’t wait to play with our child in the park and to wade through the tide pools together.

Our Family and Friends

Andy comes from Minnesota where he has 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 niece and many nephews. He also has 5 godchildren whom he adores. Julie comes from Washington State, has 1 sister, 1 brother and many nieces and nephews. She’s especially close to her niece and great-nephew and they’re already planning their trips to Disneyland with our child!

We can’t wait to show our child where we grew up and take our son or daughter whale watching in Seattle and boating with Uncle Bob at his lake home in Minnesota. Our family and friends are so supportive and excited for the day when we have a new baby in our lives.
