Hello, we are Enedina and Ruben!
Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you as you
carefully plan your child's future. Choosing a family for
your baby takes extreme courage and love. We can
only admire your strength as you make your decision.
THANK YOU for stopping to read our letter and giving
us this opportunity to share a little about ourselves.
Our hope is that through this letter you will get to
know and feel comfortable with us before you entrust
us to raise and love your child as our own. We would
love to take this journey of a lifetime together.
Children have always been important in our lives. We
cherish our roles as aunt and uncle, our nieces and
nephews are such a big part of our lives. Our child will
join in on the fun things we already enjoy… playing tag
at the park, baking cookies, having pillow fights, or
simply playing catch or tug-of-war with our family dog
(Roman).
About Us...
We are blessed with a wonderful
marriage. We met in college fourteen years ago and
next spring we will celebrate our tenth year wedding
anniversary. Our life is full of love, laughter, and joy.
Our annual camping trip
We share a lot in common. Both of us grew up
speaking Spanish and English at home, which we will
proudly teach our child as well. We want our child to
learn and experience our diverse and rich Mexican-American
culture, such as celebrating birthdays with piñatas and singing at posadas during Christmas time. We feel
fortunate to have been raised in two cultures and look forward to sharing our Mexican and American culture with our
child. Just like our moms, Enedina will have the joy of being a stay-at-home mom when we become parents.

About Ene…
"Ene is my best friend. She is the most loving and caring person that I
have ever known. She loves to bake and decorate delicious cakes for our nieces' and
nephews' birthday parties. Ene's patience and huge love for children have made her an
excellent bilingual elementary school teacher for the past eight years.
She constantly
buys books for her nephews/nieces and has eagerly been preparing a collection for our
child. I have seen the contributions she has provided to her students’ lives since many
of them keep in close contact with her. She's excited about doing fun-filled activities with
our child such as playing music, creating arts and crafts, as well as making play dough
from scratch. I can't wait to see her make gingerbread houses with our child! She's a
beautiful wife and will make a loving mommy!"

loving, kindhearted husband like Ruben. He is a
wonderful, humorous, and outgoing person who is
always there for me, as well as for his family and
friends. He is the kind of man you can trust and
rely on for anything.
About Ruben…
Ruben loves nature and
enjoys the outdoors. His first nature hike with our child will be most memorable. Our child
will have as much fun with Ruben as our nephews and nieces. When Ruben rolls on the
ground with them or carries them on his back and gives them piggyback rides, they giggle
and shout for more! Our nephews and nieces love to play with him. Ruben is an admirable
role model with leadership qualities, who is devoted to his family. He has been a Law
Enforcement Officer for the past eleven years and currently works in the same town that we
live. I feel safe and comfortable knowing I can reach him in a moment's notice."

Our Adventures…
We believe in living life to the fullest. We have enjoyed vacations
together as well as with our families and friends. Our trips have included adventures such
as: swimming with the dolphins in Hawaii,
reaching the top of the Aztec pyramids in Mexico, and soaking our feet in water streams
at the Redwoods, Yosemite, and Burney Falls. We have also raced to see Mickey at
Disneyland and often visit our favorite zoo located in San Francisco. We can't wait to
share these places with our child.

Our Home…
We live in a comfortable home in the small town of Windsor, California,
which is located one and a half hours north of San Francisco and a short drive to the
coastal Redwood Trees. We have nice weather throughout the year. Our neighborhood
is friendly, quiet and a wonderful place to raise children. Our child will enjoy his/her own
room overlooking Mt. St. Helena and the park where our neighborhood children gather
around to play.

Family and Friends…
We are truly thankful to have close families and friends. We
enjoy daily interaction with them as well as celebrating birthdays and holidays together.
Ruben has five siblings and Ene has eight. An extended family composed of many aunts, uncles, and intimate friends will surround
our child with a sense of community, unconditional love, and guidance. Some of our favorite family activities include: swimming
at our neighbor's pool, BBQ gatherings, and going to theme parks like Marine World. On special occasions we cook tamales,
listen to mariachi music, and attend our Catholic Church festivals. Our family and
friends are excited about us adopting a baby, and our parents
can't wait to hold him/her in their arms!
