We're so glad you are reading our letter! We invite you to get to know our family, hoping that you will sense how excited we are to welcome your baby into our lives.
We hope this will be the beginning of a lifetime of loving memories for us all.
We are so very grateful that you are considering open adoption, seeking a loving family to raise and nurture your child. We understand that you have difficult decisions to face at this time. We hope you feel confident that we are an extremely happy and loving family, including a wonderful big brother, who are very committed to opening our hearts and home to you and your child.
Our annual camping tripWe value spending time together as a family; cheering at Justin's baseball and soccer games, working on school projects, going on bike rides or playing with our dog, Sammy. We are best friends who married 5 years ago and continue our deep love and respect for each other. Justin is our son from Sabine's previous marriage; Gary has been part of Justin's life since infancy, and Justin knows that Gary loves him as his own.
They love each other unconditionally. We have traditional family values with a strong belief in God and would like to pass that on to our children. Being parents is an unending joy -- we are eager to cuddle and love a new baby!
Our home in San RamonOur home is in San Ramon, California, a family-oriented community about 30 miles east of San Francisco. We live at the end of a court, and with lots of families nearby, our backyard is often filled with the giggles of neighborhood kids.
Our group of friends are our extended family. We enjoy time together at parks, the public pool, or gather at each other's homes for family fun. We can't wait to take our baby for long family walks in the summer. Our new stroller is just waiting for a little passenger!
Visiting our family in GermanyWe are close to both our families. Gary was raised in Omaha, Nebraska with his two sisters and twin brother. Sabine grew up with her two sisters in Germany and came to California fourteen years ago. We take vacations every year to Nebraska and Germany, and can't wait to take our baby with us! Our families also come to California at least once a year, and are looking forward to welcoming a new baby!

Gary is a wonderful dad and husband, who works as a sales manager for a nearby telecommunications company. He is very friendly and treats everyone with respect, always having a kind word to say about others. He loves kids -- it seems wherever we go, he becomes a "kid magnet"! Gary's commitment to his family is amazing. He schedules work around Justin's social and school schedule so he can spend time with him. Gary has an abundance of love in his heart and is looking forward to giving lots of hugs and kisses to our second child.

Justin is eleven and in the 6th grade. He is a very outgoing, people oriented and well-liked child. He likes to be around his friends, so we have many playdates at our's or a friend's house. Justin likes to play sports, ride his new electric scooter around the neighborhood and enjoys being in Scouts. He is well-behaved, and we are proud of his accomplishments– encouraging him to be the best he can be. Justin still enjoys family activities and his evenings snuggling up to read books with his parents. He is excited about being a big brother!

Gary's thoughts about Sabine
Sabine is a dream mom! She is a warm, caring and loving person who puts family first. She comforts Justin and I when we are sick– cuddling, and nursing us back to health. Sabine keeps our home clean and organized and imparts the value of sharing household responsibilities to provide a welcoming home we can all take pride in. A self-employed mortgage broker with very flexible hours, she values family dinners as a time to share the experiences of our day. Sabine plans schedules and activities to ensure that we give Justin every opportunity to try new sports and experiences. Sabine can't wait to include our next child as part of our fun life.
