Dear Birthmother, Hello! Hola! Kumusta? We are Leonard, Carrie, and Jeremy Asuncion. We would like to introduce ourselves and welcome you into our lives. Because we feel it will give our child the love and knowledge that he or she is loved. We look forward to sharing our love, friendship and enthusiasm for life with you and your child. Our relationship... We met over twenty years ago on the beaches of Waikiki, Hawaii. After establishing a strong friendship, we married 13 years ago. Last year, Leonard arranged a surprise wedding renewal ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii and flew Carrie’s family there to help celebrate. I guess you can say we’re romantics! We have a relationship based on respect, communication and mutual support. Our relationship has only grown richer with the birth of our son, Jeremy. We look forward to adding another precious child to our family and sharing with them our zest for life and our love of God. We enjoy seeing the joy on children’s faces as we play peek a boo, play ball or run around playing chase or hide and seek. We are a loving, energetic family! Carrie as a stay at home mom looks forward to sharing lots of time together with our new baby. She lovingly nurtures those around her with her honesty, optimism and creativity. She has formed a caring community of friends who support us in raising children who know that they are loved and cared for. She is continually trying something new. Most recently, she's been a part-time student of psychology and spirituality. She's environmentally conscious and enjoys preparing delicious, healthy meals made with love. She reads up on a variety of subjects and enjoys music, dance, photography, scrapbooking, rollerblading, yoga and meditation. She loves being 'mom' and looks forward to cuddling, hiking, telling stories and singing to our new baby. Leonard is an energetic, outgoing person with a playful sense of humor. He values family and enthusiastically shares in parenting and household responsibilities. Leonard works from home as a Salesperson, and so is able to spend lots of daddy time throughout his day. He also coaches Jeremy's soccer team. Len looks forward to cuddling, as a family, with our new addition and making him or her giggle to their heart's delight. He's an adventurer, who is passionate about golf and travel. Since being born in the Philippines, and then as part of a Navy family, he's lived and traveled throughout the United States and various parts of the world. Jeremy, age 5, blesses our life with enthusiasm. He's an active child who enjoys playing with friends, both old and new. He loves imaginary play, including dress-up and anything to do with superheroes. With Carrie at home, he's enjoyed many activities including music, dance, drama, sports and Spanish. In addition, he attends a preschool where his parents get a chance to work in the classroom. Jeremy talks enthusiastically about his new baby brother or sister and can't wait to teach him or her how to play ball, how to keep safe and how to have fun. Where we live.. We share our warm and inviting home in San Jose, California with our playful kitty, Keeburz. Our lovely community is diverse, with caring neighbors and lots of kids. We are blessed with 2 parks and a library within walking distance. Our area is well known for its diversity of cultures, events and things to do. We're a short drive from the beach, redwoods, camping and snow skiing. We are also just a quick flight or drive to Southern California, where we often visit family and friends and take fun trips to Disneyland and Legoland. Family and friends are very important to us... Most of Leonard's family lives near by and look forward to showering our new addition with lots of love and attention. Carrie's mother, sister and grandmother, in Southern California, can't wait to have another child to play with and spoil. Our nieces and nephews are also enthusiastically looking forward to a new playmate. All of our friends and family are excited to hear that we are adopting and can't wait to open their hearts and arms to a new child and become 'Aunties' and 'Uncles' again. We value...
